IMPORTANT MESSAGE BELOW

Fall indoor soccer starts tonight, for our 8-10 age group.

Please be aware that we are looking at splitting this age into two sessions (both on Wednesday night), due to high registration numbers, so that more kids can have the opportunity to participate.

We have sent an email out to SOME of the participants in this group asking for consideration to play at a slightly later time.

If you did not get the email, and your child was not previously waitlisted, then please arrive tonight at 6pm as originally scheduled. Don’t forget indoor shoes, shin guards and a water bottle!!!

If you DID get the email, please reply to it with your feedback so we can try to get this organized for tonight.

THANK YOU!
FFYS

Good afternoon!!!

Indoor soccer will be held again this fall at Robert Moore School with Coach Tristan. Additional parent volunteers are welcome and encouraged to assist!

You will enter the school from the rear gymnasium entrance (for those that are unfamiliar with this school).

Registration fee is $20. Payments will be accepted online only this season UNLESS another organization such as KidSport has been arranged. No cash please.

Shin guards and INDOOR running shoes are mandatory. Pinnies will be provided and teams made each evening (no formal set times, we like to MIX it UP for the indoor season).

Parent viewing area is available on the stage - younger siblings are not to touch the musical instruments or other items.

Registration is now open at ffys.powerupsports.com

Hit us up in the comments with all your other questions!

For any FFYS participants who were unable to attend our windup, but who would still like to receive their participation medal, we have plenty available.

Please reach out and we’ll let you know where to pick one up!

Fort Frances General Supply went above and beyond (as always) with the preparation of our medals and awards this year. Thank you!

Accidentally taken home from mini field 3 today sometime before 12:40! Please let us know if this is yours.

There is also another one just like this in the equipment shack among many others. Adult soccer is scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays and the shack should be open between 630ish and 830ish on the nights they are playing.

Please stop by if you’re missing anything as we will be purging items at the end of summer. Thank you!

Good morning FFYS!

Just a reminder that our windup games and family bbq is set for today! The sky is brightening up and we’re hoping for a beautiful day of soccer ⚽️!

Games have been scheduled in PowerUp and should be showing in your app.

Referees will be able to pick up their payments today. If they’re not scheduled and aren’t players, bring them out to return their ref T-shirt, pick up their cheque, and grab a hotdog.

We’ll be doing our early bird registration draw today to see who wins their registration free, and we’ll also announce the recipient of this years Bryce Devoe award for Most Dedicated Player.

We appreciate the town Parks crew for all their assistance this season, our sponsors Beyak Auto Group and Fort Frances General Supply, and Nate’s Dogs for helping us with our food today.

Lastly a big shout out to all our coaches, refs, players, parents, and Board members for pulling off another successful season.

Have a great day!

Tonight's games will be modified due to extreme heat.

As per our policy regarding heat/humidity:

Humidex 36-39: Games will continue with extra water breaks and modified playing times (e.g., playing in quarters instead of halves, rotating players more frequently).

Therefore, games tonight will be divided into four 8-10 minute quarters rather than 20 minute halves (for Squirts division, three 8-10 minute periods).

Parents please bring extra water to stay hydrated.

Please note that we recognize some kids do not handle the heat as well as others. We are also aware that a large component of our division 3 kids have already been outside all day today at their soccer tournament. We understand and encourage parents to make the best decision for their individual children. If attendance is low, we will combine teams as needed.

Thank you!
