This Saturday, our Farm and Nature Club begins. 🌿

Six Saturdays on the farm. Two hours a week. A small group, two facilitators, and eighty seven acres of forest, field and wetland to get to know slowly.

Children explore at their own pace, spend time with the animals, and pick up simple tools for staying calm and focused along the way. No pressure, no rushing, and nobody left standing at the back.

Ages 5 to 8 · Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Ages 9 to 12 · Saturdays 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
$300 for the full six weeks

A couple of places are still open.

And if your child is thinking about summer camp but has never been out to us, this is the gentlest possible start. Six Saturdays from now, the farm will not be somewhere new. It will be somewhere familiar.

🌿 One week to go.

Farm and Nature Club begins Saturday, October 17, and we still have places open in both groups.

If you have been sitting on this one, here is the honest pitch. It is two hours. It is outdoors. It is a small group with two facilitators, which means your child will actually be noticed rather than managed. And for a child who is quiet, or anxious, or still finding their feet, that combination is hard to find anywhere else in Niagara.

Several parents have told us they have been searching for nature-based programming for their child and coming up empty. This is it, and it starts in a week.

🌿 Farm & Nature Club is back at I CAN-T.E.R.

Starting Saturday, October 17, we are welcoming small groups of children to the farm for six gentle Saturdays in the forest and the fields.

This program was built for the child who needs a little more time. Maybe they have never been to camp. Maybe they know us already but need to feel at home in our 87 acres before next summer. Maybe they simply do well in a small, calm space where somebody notices them.

Every Saturday, children will:
🌲 Explore the forest and farm through guided, low-pressure discovery
🐓 Connect with animals, plants, and the rhythms of the natural world
🌼 Engage their senses to support calm, focus, and body awareness
🧘 Practice simple, accessible wellness and self-regulation tools
🤝 Build confidence and genuine connection in a safe, small group

🕙 Ages 5 to 8 | 10:00 to 12:00
🕐 Ages 9 to 12 | 1:00 to 3:00

Two hours is a gentle place to begin. For a child who is nervous about something new, it is long enough to settle in and short enough that it never feels like a leap.

Spaces are limited, and we keep the groups small on purpose.

We are so sorry to share this news. We know how many of you were looking forward to the day, and we are just as disappointed as you are.

Thank you to everyone who supported us, to our vendors and performers, and to every volunteer who offered their time. It meant the world to us.

This almost never happens! 🐴 Two spots have just opened in our current Horse Groom Apprenticeship course, as two candidates had to withdraw. That means two rare openings are now up for grabs. Start date SEPTEMBER 14!

I-CAN-T.E.R.'s Horse Groom Apprenticeship Program is returning for a new intake, and we're looking for individuals who are eager to learn, gain hands-on experience, and explore opportunities in the equine industry.

You won't just be watching—you'll be doing.

✨ Learn how to:
• Groom, tack, and handle horses safely
• Understand horse behaviour and psychology
• Support horse health, nutrition, and hoof care
• Assist with stable management and daily operations
• Recognize lameness and provide basic first aid
• Build practical skills used by equine professionals every day
