Help Share Our Knowledge. Strengthen Our Connection to the Land.

Fort Chipewyan Métis Nation is helping spread the word as Therese Tuccaro Secondary School Fort Chipewyan Community High School and Rita Marten Nihiyawiwin Kiskinwamatowin High School (RMKNHS) search for community members interested in supporting seasonal land-based learning opportunities for students.

Are you a patient and safety-minded person? Do you enjoy sharing your knowledge and skills with younger generations?

🔥 Learning traditional skills and practices on the land

For generations, our people have learned through time spent on the land. By watching, listening, doing and learning from one another. These opportunities help students build practical skills while strengthening their connection to the land, community, culture and the knowledge carried by those who came before us.

If you have knowledge to share and would like to help pass those teachings on to Métis and other youth in our community, we encourage you to get involved.

It's Beach Party day! ☀️🏖️

A reminder that the fun starts at 3:00 PM at the Beach Front. BBQ, canoe races, tug of war, kids treasure hunt, sandcastle building, water fun, door prizes, and more.

Bring your lawn chairs and we'll see you out there this afternoon!🏖️

Grab a partner and race from Forestry Dock to Beach Front. Teams of 2 (1 female, 1 male), life jackets required.

💰 1st: $500 | 2nd: $350 | 3rd: $200

The Sandcastle Contest is coming to this Friday's Beach Party! 🏰

Grab your team and get ready to build. You've got 60 minutes, natural materials only, and $900 in payouts for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

📅 August 28 @ 4pm

Teams: Must include at least 1 youth, 1 adult, and 1 Elder. All building supplies (buckets, shovels, molds) will be provided.
