Free event this Saturday! Join us to learn about bears in our city and how to coexist with them at BearSmart Community Day on September 19 at Shannon Terrace. We'll have bear encounter hikes, presentations, and conservation partner booths for everyone to learn about wildlife around our neighbourhoods. Plus, there's a free shuttle into the park - no fighting for a parking spot!

Presentation schedule:

🐻 12:15 PM: All About Alberta Bears: Biology, Behaviour, and Characteristics, presented by Alexandra Kellington of Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation
🐻1:30 PM: Staying Connected. Wildlife movement in Nature's Network, presented by Sarah Jordan-McLachlan of the Weaselhead/Glenmore Park Preservation Society and Miistakis Institute
🐻2:45 PM: Living with Bears, presented by Kyle Edworthy, Parks Program Ambassador at the City of Calgary – Your Local Government

We're also expecting an Alberta Parks Conservation Officer who will be giving a short presentation and answering questions - don't miss out!
