ted as a non-profit charitable organization since 1983. Services are provided by over 75 caring volunteers and staff. Many families and individuals in our community need help due to a variety of factors, including low wages, job loss, disability, injuries, illness, age, or marital breakdown. While all of us are susceptible to hard times, children and seniors are most at risk.

Just a general ‘thank you’ to our local gardeners who share their bounty with our community through Pelham Cares’ Food bank! - we have been blessed with fresh lettuce, green beans, basil, bok choy, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and more all season long and it is much appreciated! If you have extra produce to share, we are happy to accept it during Opening Hours (8:30-noon Monday -Friday, open til 4:30 pm on Thursdays). Thank you!!

We know—it’s only August! ☀️ But here at Pelham Cares, we’re already looking ahead to the fall, when food drives at schools, churches, businesses and community groups really get rolling.

⛳️ Big Hearts, Big Impact! 💙

A huge thank you to our very tall friends Mark Young and Jakob Guthrie from Plumm Structural and Cladding in Fenwick for their incredible generosity following their recent golf tournament in support of the Food Bank at Pelham Cares!

Their tournament raised an amazing $3,530, along with 72 lbs of non-perishable food for local families in our community. 🙌

We’re so grateful for the generosity of the golfers, organizers, and everyone who helped make this donation possible.

Seven local radio stations are joining forces to support flood-affected residents and raise funds for Feed Niagara, a network of 10 local food banks, including Pelham Cares.

Walls are coming down, and our agency space is about to double! 💙

Pelham Cares has begun a major renovation of our Highway 20 headquarters, transforming a former apartment into much-needed space for our clients, programs and services.

As the need for food bank and other supports continues to grow, these renovations will help us better serve our community — now and into the future.

Our reusable grocery bag stash has disappeared … We suspect they’re off living their best lives in someone’s trunk. 😄

If you’ve got a pile of clean, reusable grocery bags hanging around your house, we’d LOVE to give them a new purpose!

Every bag helps our neighbours carry their groceries home with dignity, and we go through them much faster than you might think.

Drop them off at Pelham Cares in our 24/7 donation bin (on the porch at 191 Highway #20)💚
