Latest Rescues UPDATE!

Lots has been going on behind the scenes with our three rescues from Texas! The mare and foal who was just two days old are both doing well and momma is learning to trust people slowly but surely. Both will need continued care to get their weight up, and careful handling to allow them to trust people again.

The little rescue pony who started this round of saves, now named Rascal (fitting, if you know the story of his grand adventure), has continued to need veterinary intervention and medication due to the condition in which he was sent to auction. The current prognosis is good, but with ongoing veterinary support and care costs.

All of this before we can even get them safely into Canada! They are being taken care of by a wonderful facility in Michigan before we can bring them into Canada.

The ask? Any support you can provide to not one but now THREE rescues in this latest group of saves will help to offset their care. The bills for transport, veterinary care, and quarantine board are all into the thousands, and will continue well after we have them at Sherwood.

We've launched a fundraiser campaign where every $20 donation will earn you an entry into a draw for either a piece of My Barn Child jewelry, or a Bit by Bit travel mug!

If you are able to contribute, even a small donation, all donations made until the end of August will directly support their care. We will contact winners by September 1st!

[email protected] or via our ticketstripe link to donate via credit card https://ticketstripe.com/bitbybitdonations

Thank you so much for all of your support!

Safe in Michigan. Thank you to the many hands who got them here! Including our friends across the border where they will stay for 30 days until import to Canada is permitted.

Bail out is just the first step, but transport, quarantine, and necessary vet care is all made possible with your support. Thank you 💙

Born in a kill pen with direct ship to Mexico tomorrow.

Now saved, thank you to the amazing efforts of Bit by Bit and our supporters.

While we had already purchased one from the kill auction this week, we simply could not stand by and let these two souls meet such a tragic fate.

Thank you to the team who has rallied to help and save them. If you are able to contribute any bit helps in getting them here safely 💙

With just a few days until the big event, we have to thank one very important person!

Heartfelt gratitude to Darcy Richardson for your ongoing support of our event as our Title Sponsor and Take Home sponsor!

Darcy is compassion embodied. A proud rescue parent of several ponies, OTTBs, pup rescues, and even guardian of a few of Bit by Bit's horses who live just down the street with her crew!

Whatever Darcy does she puts her all into it, from crushing it in the real estate world, to setting an example in animal welfare and adoptions, she has been a continued supporter of us for so many years.

With deepest gratitude, thank you Darcy!🐴💜

To our attendees - keep your eyes peeled for this year's wonderful take homes ✨️
