In a changing world, it's great to know that traditions remain : yes, it's that time!

We are finished 2026 tapping in very deep snow, we've been making the beans and BBQ sauce, cooking the bacon & sausages and ready to welcome you back, website details to be updated soon, but our upcoming restaurant hours are:

Sunday March 1st, 2026, 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (soft open: restaurant open, gift shop offering taffy but still working on finishing touches, no horse rides this weekend: note: Eastern Ontario Maple Syrup first tapping ceremony at 11:30 a.m. with local dignitaries and guests)

Sunday March 8th, 2026, 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Saturday March 14th, 2026, 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Sunday March 15th, 2026, 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Fridays (starting March 20th), Saturday, Sunday for the rest of the season!

Sand Road Maple Farm is delighted to open up this weekend for our annual soft open and first tapping ceremony.

The lodge and restaurant will be open this Sunday March 1st, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. serving meals to the general public. We have missed you all and can't wait to welcome you back to the tranquil maples of Moose Creek!

This year Sand Road Maple Farm will host the Eastern Ontario Maple Syrup Producers 2026 First Tapping Ceremony starting at 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

🍁 Thank you to everyone who attended the Eastern Ontario Maple Producers Info Day! 🍁

Thanks to our dealers, members, and experts for making the day a success. It was a great opportunity to learn from experienced producers, climate experts, and equipment dealers, and to connect with one another.

We were also pleased to welcome Karen Bédard, our new Executive Director, and Kyle Gilbertson, our new OMSP Chair.

📅 Maple Weekend takes place the first weekend of April, when producers across the province open their sugarhouses to the public to share how maple syrup is made.

Several great ideas were shared for future courses, including safety training, grading and equipment use, tubing and pipeline layout, certification guidance, youth outreach, and value-added products.

The summer tour is well under way. We had a great time touring some fantastic local maple producers. Friday is a full day of technical presentations and Saturday is another day of touring. It's not too late to join us! 😀

One of the unique things about the OMSPA Summer Tour is having the opportunity to visit maple syrup operations and speak with the producers directly. It is a great way to share ideas and best practices through seeing and hearing it first-hand. This year we have two days of tours visiting maple producers of various sizes across Eastern Ontario. The upcoming Maple Producer's Summer Tour is going to be 4 great days of networking, technical presentations, sugar shack tours and equipment displays.

The Ramada Hotel in Cornwall, Ontario will be home base for the event and there is only 2 weeks left to book your room at preferential rates.
