Good luck to our Elk Valley Dolphins as they head to the ManSask Provincial Swim Championships July 8-14!

The ManSask Championships are the highest level of provincial swimming competition for youth and age-group athletes across Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Last summer’s championship welcomed 456 swimmers representing 38 clubs.

This year we are incredibly proud to have 21 Elk Valley Dolphins athletes qualifying and representing our valley on this provincial stage.

Behind every confident swimmer is a team of passionate coaches helping them grow in and out of the pool. We’re proud to introduce the incredible coaching staff leading the Elk Valley Dolphins Swim Club

🏊‍♂️ Head Coach – Aidan Chudleigh
With more than 10 years of coaching experience, Aidan brings elite-level knowledge and leadership. He has coached national-level swimmers and multi-class athletes in Sydney, Australia, earning National JX Awards for Excellence in Junior Coaching from 2011–2013. Aidan takes a holistic approach to coaching and loves working with swimmers of all ages — from our youngest pups to masters.

Team Manager - Cassandra Purdon
Originally from Victoria, Cass swam competitively with Island Swimming for over seven years and competed nationally as a youth athlete.

Huge congratulations to our club swimmer Layla Rella on officially qualifying for the 2026 Canadian Swimming Trials in Montreal this July! 💪

Layla punched her ticket at the “Best Of The West” meet with an incredible 30.29 in backstroke.

We are so proud to see her represent our club on the national stage and can’t wait to cheer her on in Montreal this summer. Way to go, Layla! 🐬🫶

18 athletes, one unforgettable journey 🇸🇬

What started as a trip for a swimming championship turned into so much more. Beyond the races, early mornings, and time drops, these athletes stepped outside the pool and into a whole new world. From exploring vibrant streets to experiencing the rich culture of Singapore, every moment became part of something bigger.

They didn’t just grow as swimmers—they grew as individuals, teammates, and friends. Laughs were shared, challenges were faced, and memories were made that will last a lifetime.
