CCHS Volunteer Trail Crew Update: June 17th

Lots of trail maintenance activity on the HVT loop in Fernie Ridge (Ridgemont). Deadfall, R-Trail and Roxy Roller all got some TLC this past week. Lots of drainage repairs, culvert installations and trail tread maintenance occurred on these trails.

Thanks to the great volunteer trail crew for their efforts and additional thanks to GearHub Sports for supporting CCHS volunteers with time earned discounts.

CCHS Volunteer Trail Crew Update: June 14, 2026

A machine does the work of 30 volunteers and doesn’t get tired.
Spent some time on the Fernie Ridge (Ridgemont) HVT loop the past few days fixing drainage, adding culverts, improving trail tread, installing kiosks and adding way finding signage.

Enjoy the sunshine!

BC Trails Day was a huge success for the CCHS.

A fantastic turnout of volunteers did a full buff of KIDS STUFF UPPER trail.
The crew gave the full 900 meter length some TLC, including drainage improvements, berm building and basic trail tread maintenance. Definitely a tougher climb going both directions but a great option to KIDS STUFF.

Huge kudos to the Fernie Taphouse for the after work session lunch.

Fernie IS a TRAIL TOWN!

Join us this Saturday, June 6 and give back to the trails!

A BIG shout out to The Fernie Taphouse for donating "food & drink" for the volunteers after the work party.

Meet us a 9 am at bottom of Ridgemont Rd to carpool up (alternatively you can find us up at Upper Kids Stuff). Happy Trails!

BC Trails Day is Saturday, June 6, 2026, and in Fernie it is more than a date on the calendar. This year, local BC Trails Day celebrations include two volunteer trail work opportunities.

CCHS Volunteer Trail Crew Update: June 3rd

The volunteer trail crew spent the morning on Eric’s Trail rebuilding berms, improving drainage and performing lots of trail tread maintenance.
The recent rain provided excellent soil conditions to perform trail maintenance. Eric’s Trail and Split Decision both offer a worthy option to Roxy Roller. Give them a try!

Thanks to the awesome volunteers for their hard work and dedication.
