Thank you! Township of Centre Wellington. Need to stay cool? Sportsplex and JECC open til midnight!

Due to the number of residents currently experiencing power outages, we have made the decision to extend the hours of our cooling centres.

The CW Community Sportsplex and the Jefferson Elora Community Centre will remain open until midnight tonight to provide a safe and cool space for those in need. Please note operating hours for tomorrow morning:

• CW Community Sportsplex will reopen at 6:00 a.m.
• Jefferson Elora Community Centre will reopen at 8:00 a.m.

We encourage residents to take care and check on neighbours who may need assistance.

What a great crew from FEDS - Fergus-Elora District Soccer today at the Canada Day Parade in Elora. Despite the sweltering weather they represented FEDS and the Food Bank so well! Thank you to the community too for their donation support!

Our food drive at Zehrs has begun! We are here with the U13B Grand River Mustangs hockey team until 7:00 Friday and 10:00-2:00 Saturday. Bonus lunch time barbecue Saturday!

Check out the Fergus Lions Home and Leisure Show this week! Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 5:30-9:00. A donation to the Centre Wellington Food Bank is the request as admission. Thanks for the support and thank you to our volunteers for being there!

The Centre Wellington Food Bank is currently seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join our volunteer Board of Directors beginning in May 2026. As part of a dedicated team, board members play an important role in helping ensure that the most vulnerable in our community have access to nutritious food.
