Who needs a pressure washer when you’ve got FIRE TRUCKS? 🚒🎾🏓

Last night we traded flames for forehands and gave the town’s tennis & pickleball courts at Centennial Park the deluxe rinse package. Safe to say these courts have officially received the most aggressive cleaning in municipal history. 😂

It involved education and practice with wildland packs and great practice to flow water for our pump operators.

If your backhand improves this week, you’re welcome.

🚒🛠️ Our recruits had another training filled weekend during their Auto Extrication Training at V&R Recycling!

Recruits had the opportunity to train with a variety of specialty hydraulic and battery powered tools, including the Hurst cutter, spreader, ram bar, and combi tool which is commonly known as the “Jaws of Life” 🚑⚙️

Throughout the training, they completed multiple hands on evolutions including roof removals, door removals, dash rolls, and more which build the skills needed for real world emergency response situations. 💪🔥

A huge thank you to our senior firefighters for sharing their knowledge, mentorship, and assistance throughout the day! 👨‍🚒👏

What an incredible evening ❤️🍝

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported our Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser! We welcomed so many familiar faces, first time visitors, and even guests who travelled from as far as Mississauga and Hamilton specifically for this event.

Together, we served over 220 plates of spaghetti & meatballs and it’s safe to say the desserts were a huge hit too! 🍰👏

Events like these remind us how amazing our community truly is. Your continued support helps us raise funds for bursaries, food banks, and local community events that make a real difference.

We couldn’t do this without all of you.

Thank you for showing up, supporting and sharing in yet another special evening with us. ❤️

The province is testing the Alert Ready emergency alert system today at approximately 1:55 PM EST. The alert will appear on compatible cell phones, TVs, and radios as part of Emergency Preparedness Week.

This is only a TEST, no action is required.

These alerts are designed to keep Canadians informed during emergencies like tornadoes, floods, wildfires, and AMBER Alerts. Staying prepared saves lives. 🇨🇦

🚨🚁 BIG NEWS FROM STATION 2 – FENWICK 🚁🚨

After years of careful planning, budgeting, and definitely not impulse decisions, we are proud to announce that Station 2 has officially received its newest apparatus…

AIR2 😎

That’s right! Why fight traffic when you can just fly over it?

This state of the art firefighting helicopter comes fully equipped with:
🔥 Aerial water drops
🚑 Rapid response capabilities
👀 A pilot who totally knows what he’s doing
☕ Cup holders (priority feature)

Residents may notice increased rotor noise, dramatic landings in the parking lot, and firefighters dramatically putting on sunglasses before takeoff. This is all completely normal.

We ask the public to please keep a safe distance when AIR2 is landing… especially from Dave, who keeps trying to “direct traffic” with two glow sticks.
