Junior Division Board Announcement
Our Board had tried to avoid this outcome, but circumstances have made it impossible. Due to outside pressure our highpoint champion has decided to give up the saddle. This has forced us to reevaluate the Junior division as a whole. With her giving up the highpoint she now has to be taken out of the finals completely. This is more than just the highpoint award to our association. It affects all 23 junior contestants not just 1. We have to award the prizes to all of the contestants as if she did not compete. There are prizes for Barrels and Poles, as well as payout each day. We have contacted all of the new placings and are working towards the prizes being awarded to the appropriate contestants. We look forward to the cooperation of all parties involved.
We will be mailing cheques to those that would have been allocated more due to the placing changes.
Since our board was not notified prior to the finals when this members age was questioned we were not able to avoid the circumstances that we are in now. This member was not qualified in the higher age group so she is not able to be placed in it either. We ask our members to please bring any concerns to the board so that we can have all information and make informed decisions ahead of time before there is an issue. Please do not go behind the boards back and attempt to fix them yourself.
We appreciate our sponsors, hosts and members and we hope to continue to have successful finals in the future.
We need our hosts or we don’t have a finals!
