Got 2 hours and a couple of helping hands? That’s all it takes to make a difference 🌿

On June 6, we’re inviting everyone, especially families, to pitch in for our community Spring Clean Up. Stop by the Hall between 9–1, grab supplies, and head out to your chosen area.

It’s a simple way to show pride in where we live, and a great way for kids to learn what community really looks like.

Free BBQ at 12 to celebrate!

Are you in, who's in your clean-up crew? 👇

Small town, big pride 💛
Let’s show it on June 6.

Join us for our Spring Clean Up from 9-12. Grab some supplies at the Community Hall, choose a spot around Exshaw, and make it shine. Bring the kids along and turn it into a morning adventure (fresh air + good deeds = win).

We’ll wrap it all up with a free BBQ at 12, because everything’s better with burgers after a job well done.

Who’s planning to come out, and which part of town are you claiming? 👇

Who’s ready to give Exshaw a little spring glow-up? 🌱✨
On June 6, we’re coming together to tidy up our favourite spots around town, and it’s the perfect excuse to get the kids outside and involved.

Pick an area, swing by the Community Hall between 9 - 10 am to grab supplies, and help keep Exshaw looking its best. Stick around after for a free BBQ at 12 pm! 🌭

There’s something special about pitching in together, especially when the next generation gets to be part of it.

What area do you think needs a little extra love this year? 👇

Big shoutout to Graymont and Amrize for stepping up and supporting our community in such an awesome way! 💪

Thanks to their generous donation we now have a brand new treadmill - Community Fitness Center just got an exciting upgrade. Whether you're training for your next goal, getting your steps in, or just blowing off some steam, this new addition is ready for you.

Just a reminder that a valid membership is required to access the gym — so if you’ve been thinking about joining, now’s the perfect time! 🏃‍♂️

Be sure to stop by, lace up, and take it for a run!

Have Your Say, Exshaw! 📣
Hi neighbours — BIG date on the calendar: Wednesday, January 21. This day will directly influence how our community moves, interacts, and welcomes visitors — now and into the future.

🗺️ Canmore & Area Trails Master Plan — January 21 is the final day to submit public feedback. We strongly encourage residents to take a few minutes to have their voices heard.
💡 Tip: If you don’t have time to read the full report, there’s an interactive map where you can leave comments directly on areas around Exshaw (better on a laptop).

Why this matters:
• The plan affects how people and wildlife move and use trails from the Banff Park gates to Seebe
• It covers permitted trail uses, parking, and staging areas

Key areas of interest for Exshaw residents:
• Jura Creek: Proposed designation as a motorized trail area, alongside a non-motorized area in Jura Creek Flats. Potential for national/international events, trail installations, and an upgraded parking lot to staging area status.
• Exshaw to Jura Trails: While technically out of scope, the plan suggests these trails could be fully decommissioned.
• Prospector Trails: Designation depends on an access agreement with Lafarge. Proposed rerouting aims to improve navigation, reduce skill gaps, and move access to Ruthie’s hiking trail off private land.
• Grotto Pond Parking Lot: Proposed upgrade to a major staging area with clearer, more inviting trail connections.
• Gap Lake: Continued protection of climbing access. The future of undesignated mountain bike trails will be decided following public engagement, considering environmental and parking constraints.

Exshaw School is looking for Volunteers!!

Would welcome volunteers Mondays or Tuesdays.

Presently the volunteers joining us, come between 10:30-noon but this time could also be flexible based on the person's availability (anytime between 9am-2:30pm, and even if it is only for 1 hour). The current volunteers often pick one day a week that works for them and then a schedule is built for them of 1 or 2 classroom(s) they can work with.

If interested contact Gillian at [email protected].
