💜 Behind Every Program Is a Volunteer Who Cares

There is something special about the people who choose to give their time to help others.

At Noah’s Ark, our volunteers do so much more than complete tasks.

They sort donations, organize shelves, prepare food, support families, welcome visitors, and help keep our programs running.

But some of their most important contributions can’t be measured by the number of hours they work.

It’s the kindness they show.

The conversations they have.

The patience they extend.

The way they make people feel seen and valued.

This work simply wouldn’t happen without them.

To every person who has given an hour, a day, or years of their time to Noah’s Ark and the South Huron Connection Center, thank you.

You are helping build a community where people know they matter.

And we are so grateful for you. 💜

🧀 A LITTLE CHEESE CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE! ❤️🎄

We have a little Christmas favour to ask our community!

No Frills has cheese on sale for just $2.99 today and tomorrow (October 17 & 18)! All you need is a PC Optimum card to get the sale price!

As we prepare for our Christmas Angel Project, we’re working hard to fill food hampers for approximately 200 families in our community.

And cheese is one of those grocery items that can make such a difference for a family, but can also be expensive to purchase!

❤️ Here’s where you can help!

If you’re heading to No Frills today or tomorrow and have a PC Optimum card, would you consider picking up an extra block or two of cheese to donate to Noah’s Ark for our Christmas hampers?

Even one block helps! And when a whole community comes together, those little acts of generosity add up to something incredible.

Our hope is to have as much of our Christmas food donated as possible so we can stretch every dollar and bless as many families as we can.

Please keep any cheese refrigerated until it can be dropped off to us!

Thank you for always showing up for our community. We couldn’t do what we do without you! ❤️

🎄 Christmas Is Coming to Noah’s Ark!

Every year, our Christmas Angel Project brings our community together to support local families during the Christmas season.

This year, we’re preparing to support approximately 200 families.

That’s 200 families we hope to surround with kindness, generosity, and practical support.

And we cannot do it alone.

As we prepare for Angel Day on December 20, we’re looking for community partners, businesses, organizations, and individuals who would like to help.

Some of the ways you can make a difference include:

🎁 Donating new toys

🛒 Contributing food

💜 Providing gift cards

❤️ Making a financial donation

We know Christmas can be a difficult season for families facing financial challenges. Our hope is to help ease some of that pressure and remind families that their community cares.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll share more about the project, our needs, and how you can get involved.

Together, we can make this Christmas a little brighter for families in our community. 🎄

💜 Sometimes the Most Important Thing We Offer Is Connection

Food matters. Warm meals matter. Clothing and basic necessities matter.

But over the years, we’ve learned that many people who come through our doors are looking for something else too.

Connection.

Someone who remembers their name.

A place where they feel welcome.

Someone who notices when they haven’t been around for a while.

At Noah’s Ark and the South Huron Connection Center, we believe that supporting our community means caring about the whole person.

That means making space for conversations, building relationships, and helping people connect with the services and support they need.

Every person who walks through our doors has a story.

And every person deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness, and respect.

Thank you to the volunteers and community partners who help make our spaces welcoming every day. 💜

💜 More Than a Thrift Store

When people hear the name Noah’s Ark, they often think of our thrift store here in Exeter.

But Noah’s Ark is so much more than a place to shop.

It’s a place where neighbours help neighbours. Where families can receive food support, where volunteers give their time, and where people can find practical help and a welcoming community.

Through Noah’s Ark, the Community Table, and the South Huron Connection Center, we have the privilege of walking alongside people through many different seasons of life.

Sometimes that support looks like groceries.

Sometimes it looks like a hot meal, a shower, clean laundry, or help connecting with a community service.

And sometimes it starts with something as simple as a cup of coffee and someone willing to listen.

We’re grateful for every volunteer, donor, community partner, and neighbour who helps make this possible.

Thank you for being part of the Noah’s Ark community. 💜

We are so grateful for this amazing donation!
