“We are pleased to bring back the South Huron Trail Run in 2026,” he said. “People have missed this event and are very excited to see its return.”

The South Huron Trail Run combines an opportunity for beginners and more experienced runners, he said.

“The South Huron Trail Run is an event where runners can compete and challenge themselves while also enjoying nature in a wonderful destination,” he said. “Runners also know they are supporting a great cause by raising funds for the South Huron Trail system.”

There will be an eight-kilometre run. There will also be a 3.25-km run/walk.

We collected our first clutch of at-risk turtle eggs this week from the Woodlands Links Golf Course in Clinton! 🐢

The nest, of these turtles, was laid in a high-traffic and readily exposed area, so, with the required handling permits, we are incubating them in-house.

This allows us to ensure these hatchlings will avoid the risks associated with their location on the golf course.

We would like to extend a special 'Thank you!' to the amazing staff at Woodlands Links Golf Course ... they took the utmost care of the nest throughout the process!

Donors to our Adopt A Turtle program will be kept up-to-date with behind-the-scenes updates on these and future hatchlings throughout nesting season.

Please contribute to the campaign to support this conservation in action and keep up with the progress of The Woodland Eight!

To donate to Adopt a Turtle, please visit our events web page: https://www.abca.ca/events/
