✨ Break the Silence – Week 2 ✨
Every week we're asking a question to help start honest conversations about pregnancy and infant loss.
This week's question:
πŸ’™πŸ©· What is something you wish someone had said to you after your loss?
Sometimes the words people say β€” or don't say β€” stay with us. By sharing what you needed to hear, we can help others learn how to better support families experiencing loss.
Whether you've experienced loss personally or want to learn how to support someone who has, we'd love to hear your thoughts.
Every conversation helps break the silence. πŸ’™πŸ©·

πŸ’™πŸŒ³ Oak's Tree of Love is Growing β€” and We're Looking for Dedicated Volunteers! 🩷
As Oak's Tree of Love continues to grow, we're looking for a few reliable, committed volunteers who would like to take on more active roles within our organization.
We're currently looking for:
🀝 Business & Donation Outreach Volunteer β€” contacting businesses and community organizations, sending approved outreach messages, following up, and helping us build ongoing community support.
πŸ₯ Hospital Outreach Volunteer β€” helping contact hospitals, follow up on inquiries and partnerships, and keep communication organized as our memory-box program expands.
🧢 Knitting & Craft Volunteer Lead β€” helping coordinate our growing group of knitters, crocheters and crafters, communicating current needs, answering questions and helping organize handmade donations.
πŸ’™ Walk for Oak Volunteer Lead & Event Volunteers β€” helping with planning, volunteer coordination, setup, activities and responsibilities on event day.
πŸ“¦ We're also looking for volunteers who can help with memory-box assembly, organizing donations, pickups and other tasks as needed.
For the lead/outreach roles, we're looking for people who have regular availability and can communicate consistently and follow through on tasks. You don't need to be available every day, and we'll always work around reasonable schedules, but reliability is important because hospitals, businesses and other volunteers may be depending on you.
Some roles can be done largely from home by phone, email or social media, while others will require being available locally.
If you're interested, please send us a private message with which role you're interested in, your general availability, any relevant experience you may have, and why you'd like to be involved with Oak's Tree of Love. πŸ’™πŸ©·πŸŒ³

✨ New "Break the Silence" Series ✨
Every week we'll be asking a question to help start honest conversations about pregnancy and infant loss.
Today's question:
What's one thing you wish people knew about pregnancy and infant loss?
Whether you've experienced loss personally, supported someone who has, or simply want to learn, we'd love to hear your thoughts. Every conversation helps break the silence. πŸ’™πŸ©·

🩷 Help Fill Our Next Memory Box πŸ’™

Every item purchased from our Amazon Wish List helps us create bereavement memory boxes and comfort resources for families experiencing pregnancy, infant, and child loss.

Many people have asked how they can support Oak's Tree of Love, so we wanted to create another meaningful way to help.

We've created an Amazon Wish List filled with items used to build our bereavement memory boxes for families experiencing pregnancy, infant, and child loss. These items also help us provide hospitals with keepsakes, memory-making supplies, books, and comfort resources for grieving families.

We're currently packing memory boxes and preparing deliveries to hospitals and families.
If you'd like to help, you can purchase an item directly from our wish list. Items purchased will be shipped directly to Oak's Tree of Love and used to create memory boxes or support our hospital partners.

The next deliveries are planned for: β€’ Health Sciences North (Sudbury) β€’ Hearst Hospital β€’ Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre β€’ Montfort Hospital (Ottawa)

Every gift, no matter how big or small, helps remind grieving families that they are not alone and that their baby will always be remembered.
Thank you for helping us ensure no family feels forgotten. πŸ’•

πŸ’™ THANK YOU! 🩷
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who came out to support our Oak's Tree of Love BBQ Fundraiser!
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who stopped by for lunch, made a donation, entered our Blue Jays ticket giveaway, shared our mission, or took the time to learn more about Oak's Tree of Love.
One of the most meaningful parts of the day wasn't just the fundraiserβ€”it was the conversations. Meeting members of the community, sharing Oak's story, raising awareness about pregnancy and infant loss, and letting people know that support is available is exactly why Oak's Tree of Love exists.
A heartfelt thank you to Soo Mill and Lumber for hosting our fundraiser, and to everyone who helped make the day a success. Your kindness and support mean more than words can express.🀝
And a special thank you to my mom, Colleen Lecuyer - Pichoskie and everyone who helped make the day possible. With last-minute changes, we truly couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for your time, hard work, and support. It means more than you'll ever know. πŸ«‚
We are still finalizing the fundraising totals and will share them as soon as they are complete.
πŸŽ‰ We will also be announcing the winner of our Blue Jays ticket giveaway LIVE today, so stay tuned! βšΎπŸ’™
Together, we are helping ensure that no grieving family feels forgotten. πŸ’™πŸŒ³πŸ©·
