🌱 Farm Safety with Temiskaming 4-H Cloverbuds! 🚜💚
What a great first meeting for the newly started Temiskaming 4-H Cloverbud group, welcoming kids ages 6–8! And what better way to kick things off than with an important lesson about farm safety. 👩‍🌾👨‍🌾
Premier Equipment was very happy to have the opportunity to talk with these young 4-H members about staying safe around farm equipment and in the farm environment.
A huge thank you to Temiskaming 4-H for the invitation and the opportunity to be part of your very first Cloverbud meeting! It was such a pleasure meeting all of the new members. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to ask questions made the presentation so much fun. 💚
Teaching kids about farm safety from a young age is so important, and we loved seeing how interested and engaged they were. Hopefully they took away a few important safety lessons — and maybe had a little fun along the way too! 😊
Wishing the new Cloverbud group an amazing year filled with learning, friendships, and lots of great 4-H experiences!

EXCITING NEWS - 4-H Temiskaming is starting a Cloverbuds project! This is a program designed to introduce all kids ages 6-8 to the many possible 4-H clubs. We will be hosting meetings on select Saturday mornings in October-November which are tentatively scheduled below. Our first meeting will be focused on farm and yard safety on October 3rd. To complete the project, participants will need to register as members through 4-H Ontario and plan to attend at least 3 of the 4 sessions. Contact [email protected] for more information or to sign up.

The Amber Underwood Memorial News Competition invites 4-H youth to interview a volunteer and write a news-style report of up to 500 words about why they choose to give their time to 4-H.

You do not need to be an experienced writer to enter. Bring your curiosity, ask thoughtful questions and share the volunteer’s story in your own words!

Two $250 prizes are available:

🍀 Junior category: Ages 9–14
🍀 Senior category: Ages 15–21

Registration for Temiskaming 4-H Discovery Day is now live! Just click the link to sign up.

This free event is open to both members and non-members ages 6-12, but is limited to the first 20 participants. The day will involve icebreakers, activity stations, team games, creative time, and lunch. All will take place on August 29th from 10:30-2:30 at the Kerns Hall.
