Hey Community! We are doing the draw for the diy air cleaner this Monday Aug 24 7:00 - 8:30 pm at the hall. Join us to find out who the lucky winner will be. Learn how to make your own effective, affordable and easy to make diy air cleaner and tips to protect yourself from wildfire smoke.

Look ๐Ÿง who made an air cleaner at our Smoke Awareness and diy Air Cleaner workshop....our very own RCC President and all around great guy, Lyle Garstad, ! We bet he is glad to have his air cleaner right now, helping to keep the indoor air clean and safe during this smoke event. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Lyle took great care making his air cleaner and used a pretty purple coloured masking tape to make the shroud. It looks like Lyle is pretty happy with his cleaner! ๐Ÿ˜

FYI...Studies have shown box fan diy air cleaners are as effective and sometimes even better than some of those expensive commercial air cleaners. You can make 3 box fan cleaners for the price of one! And even better yet, you can personalize your diy air cleaners in your favourite colour, just like Lyle! ๐Ÿค“

The question we have for you....is purple really Lyleโ€™s favourite colour?? ๐Ÿคฉ

Given the scope and scale of wildfires currently burning in B.C., and to further protect public safety, recreational off-road vehicle use will be prohibited on Crown land in the Kamloops and Southeast Fire Centres, as well as parts of the Cariboo and Coastal Fire Centres. This prohibition is effective immediately, as of 12 p.m. (noon) on August 10, 2026.

Starting tomorrow (May 5th) We will be practicing together ๐„๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐Ž๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ ๐“๐ฎ๐ž๐ฌ๐๐š๐ฒ ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก ๐’๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐ง๐ ๐’๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ!!

Our classes will start at 7pm with some seasonally beneficial Hatha/Flow inspired strength building and fun active movements, to get the breath and blood flow activated and the body safely loosened up. We will then move into some slower and deeper stretches around 7:30/7:45pm, and will end class at 8pm with a 5-10 min guided meditation to settle the body and mind for a restful evening!

We are very flexible ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ Join in for whatever works best for your schedule!! Get a good workout and leave early or join late for the deep stretch and mediation! ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ•‰
All classes will be beginner friendly, will have options for advanced levels and Kids are always welcome!! โœจ๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿค—
