Since our inception in JANUARY 2020 we have raised $247,450 from our generous donors.
In partnership with Vision for Bright Future (a registered Ethiopian non-profit) and Rose Charities Canada (our Vancouver-based partner), we have:
• CONSTRUCTED AND HELPED TO EQUIP A MODERN MATERNAL CARE CENTRE providing safe childbirth and pre-natal and post- natal care for the women and families of Agarfa.
PARTNERS IN ETHIOPIA CONTRIBUTION was $160,179 - AGARFA COMMUNITY IN-KIND CONTRIBUTION was $27,398
• PURCHASED 5,000+ Quality Text & Reference books for underfunded schools.
• PURCHASED 705 School Uniforms for low-income students and families, ensuring students meet attendance requirements. When outgrown, these uniforms are most often handed onto younger siblings, extended family, or neighbours.
• PURCHASED essential School Supplies – pens, pencils, workbooks, etc. for 795 low-income students.
• PROMOTED the well-being of 340 low-income adolescent girls through the distribution of reusable sanitary pads and underwear, thus allowing them to remain in school.
• PROVIDED 3 low-income students with a scholarship to cover costs of first year post-secondary education.
• ESTABLISHED a Post Secondary Entrance Exam Study Group. In order to attend post-secondary education, all eligible high school students must pass rigorous national entrance exams. In 2025, prior to this study group, the Agarfa region had only 19 successful applicants. In 2026, after completion of this 2-month study program, there were 232 successful students.
• PURCHASED 4 quality desktop computers allowing computer science students to participate in hands-on learning.
• PROVIDED hearing aids , sound-based learning materials, and visual learning tools to address the learning needs of 9 students with hearing impairment.
• SUPPORTED 500+ Students and Families most in need during the pandemic through the purchase of basic sanitary supplies, food, and masks.
