Before moving into 10 Shelldale, one resident spent four years living in a forest encampment while managing significant health challenges and substance use.

Today, with stable housing and accessible supports, he’s regularly accessing healthcare and building greater independence. It’s the small, meaningful moments - like doing puzzles each day with his dog - that reflect the comfort and stability he’s found.

This is what safe, supportive housing can make possible.

Program Spotlight: Let’s Grow Together 🌱🤱

At Stonehenge, we understand that every woman’s journey is unique and that making changes around substance use can be challenging without support.

Our Let’s Grow Together program offers one-to-one and group support for women who are pregnant and/or parenting children (0–6). Using a harm reduction, women-centred approach (inclusive of abstinence), we provide a safe space to explore substance use, pregnancy, parenting, and overall well-being. 🧡

You’re not alone - support is here, and you can self-refer directly.

We were honoured to welcome Fiona Trevelyan, Chief Executive of Odyssey Trust in Aotearoa, New Zealand, for a meaningful and engaging visit to Stonehenge last week.

Odyssey is a longstanding addiction support organization in New Zealand, offering residential and community services grounded in the Therapeutic Community model, with a strong focus on peer support, whānau (a Māori term for 'family'), and long-term recovery.

It was a valuable opportunity to connect, share perspectives, and learn from one another as organizations grounded in the Therapeutic Community model, committed to supporting individuals on their journeys.

💬 Fiona spent time with our team exploring our Peer Model through in-depth discussions with our Supervisor of Peer Support, Jason, highlighting the vital role of peer support in how we deliver care and foster connection.

💡 We had rich conversations around harm reduction, justice, and housing services - exchanging insights on our approaches, as well as the challenges and successes we encounter in our work.

🏥 During her visit to our RAAM clinic, we discussed the application of addiction medicine across all substance use, and how peer support is thoughtfully integrated into every model of care.

🏡 Fiona also toured our Residential Therapeutic Communities, creating space to share ideas, best practices, and resources drawn from our respective Therapeutic Community models.

We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate and strengthen connections across organizations and countries. Together, we continue to learn, evolve, and improve the supports we offer to those who need them most. 💙

June is Pride Month. 🌈

A time to celebrate diversity, uplift voices, and honour the strength, resilience, and history of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. Pride is both a celebration and a call to action - recognizing the ongoing work toward equity, visibility, and belonging.

➡️We also know that 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals are disproportionately impacted by substance use and face unique barriers to care. Experiences of discrimination, structural and systemic marginalization, and the weight of “double stigma” can make it harder to access the support they need. Too often, these realities remain invisible in data, programming, and policy.

➡️At Stonehenge, we are committed to doing better. Through ongoing learning - including training with Rainbow Registered - we continue to strengthen our ability to offer care that is inclusive, responsive, and affirming for 2SLGBTQIA+ clients.

This month - and every month - we stand with 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

Because everyone deserves safe, compassionate care and the opportunity to be well. 💙🌈

🎉 Big congratulations to Siobhan O’Regan! 🎉

We’re thrilled to share that Siobhan, our Peer Support Worker supporting patients at Cambridge Memorial Hospital was named the Grand Prize Winner during Patient Experience Week a week that highlights how staff enhance the patient healthcare journey.

Siobhan’s impact is best captured by the people she supports:

“Siobhan lets me talk about my experiences and helped me find resources for my addiction. Never judges, always listens.”

Thank you, Siobhan, for leading with compassion, connection, and hope, every single day. 💙

Even the smallest gifts can carry big meaning. 💙

These images tell a powerful story: a simple drawing, a note that reads “for food,” and a single nickel carefully tucked inside. It’s a reminder that generosity doesn’t have to be large to be impactful, it just has to come from the heart.

At Stonehenge Therapeutic Community, every donation - no matter the size - helps provide essential supports, programs, and care for individuals on their journey. That small coin represents kindness, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves support.

When we all give what we can, it adds up to something extraordinary. Thank you to our tiny community member for their gift!

✨ Your gift matters. Your impact matters. ✨

🌟Program Highlight: Transitional Supportive Addiction & Mental Health Housing 🏠

Because recovery doesn't happen alone - it happens in community.

Our Transitional Program supports individuals who are completing or have recently completed substance use treatment and are committed to maintaining abstinence while building a strong foundation for long-term recovery.

Participants live in a shared home environment (up to 4 people), where they:
✨ Receive weekly counselling and support
✨ Participate in house meetings and daily living responsibilities
✨ Stay connected to community-based recovery supports
✨ Work toward personal goals — including securing permanent housing

This program offers up to 6 months of structured support, with the option to extend based on individual progress and goals.

Transitional housing is more than a place to stay - it’s a place to heal, grow, and move forward.
