East Hants Community Chorale – Choir Director

East Hants Community Chorale (EHCC) is seeking a new volunteer Choir Director for a one year term beginning in September 2025.

EHCC is a welcoming, non-auditioned SAB/SATB choir of 40+ members, who meet in East Hants (Elmsdale currently) on Thursday nights (7 -9 pm), from mid-September to mid-May. The choir performs 2 concerts per year, usually in early December and May.

Qualifications:

Experience working with adult SATB choirs preferred
Ability to play piano is considered an asset
Flexibility and sense of humour to make weekly rehearsals fun and engaging

Start date: Fall 2025

Please include a cover letter and resume detailing related qualifications and experience.

An honorarium will be provided for this volunteer position.

The Chorale is doing a happy dance - what a thrill yesterday to sing to a full house of family, friends, and lovers of choral music!

We were joined by the amazing Brittany Cann from Halifax, who graced us with her soaring soprano voice. Wow!
