The Friends are excited to invite you to the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) where we’ll be joined by our guest speaker, poet Anders Carson.
As the author of three captivating poetry books, Anders will not only read from his works but also explore the art of poetry and its power to connect with us. Don’t miss out on this exceptional experience.

During the meeting portion of the evening, we will provide updates on our initiatives, past and upcoming events and how you can get involved. We are actively seeking volunteers who are interested in taking on lead roles within the Friends group. Your involvement is crucial for our continued success and
growth.

Join us! We look forward to welcoming you to the table!

Our "Crime at the Cottage" event was everything we'd hoped it would be & more!!
We were thrilled to have a full house to welcome our 4 guest mystery Authors, (Peggy Blair, Don Butler, Barbara Fradkin, Mary Jane Maffini) as well as well-known Alan Neal, CBC Radio host, who all kept the audience intrigued and entertained, from the panel discussion to the witty improv that had these 4 writers, collaborating to create what is sure to be the next Best-Seller (Hmmm, maybe not).

The Friends want to thank everyone who attended this Rideau Lakes Public Library fundraising event, and especially Alan Neal and the 4 talented authors who graciously agreed to come to our little lakeside community.

We also want to extend our appreciation to the local businesses whose financial support we truly appreciate, and as with any event, we couldn't have done it without our community and volunteers who worked hard to make this a success! Thank you!
