If you have books or puzzles to donate for our Giant Book Sale,, volunteers are at the old firehall today (Saturday), and next Tuesday and Thursday, from 10am until 2pm. After that, we're getting ready for the opening at 9am on Saturday, June 20. Everything will be sorted, and everything is sold "by donation" - bring a bag, browse, and then decide on an appropriate donation.
Please note: we have a lot of kids' books in great condition!

Event of Interest
Wednesday Evening June 24th - The NFU Local 330 presents - A film about exploring the lives of farmers, featuring 5 farms across Canada, large and small - and the challenges that go with it.

Great film to spark conversations about what it takes to be a farmer and the need for a diverse food system.
The director, Devon Cooke will be present to host a discussion. Refreshments included!
Seating is limited to about 60 people, so please RSVP to Marshall Buchanan by text at 613 602-5253.

It's June 1 and our judges have been touring the village of Eganville to select the June Garden of the Month. Congratulations to the winner - here is what they found:
Towering maple and basswood trees shelter Angela Kuehl's woodland garden at 130 Hartwig St where, set among rocky coves, you will find a diversity of plants. Trilliums and Spring bulbs are just about finished blooming but the perennials are about to come into their own. Shade loving hostas share the sunnier spots with creeping phlox, lambs ears, cranes bill, milkweed, peonies and iris. Juniper shrubs, a Siberian pea shrub and a spirea add volume to the garden which slopes upwards to the house. The garden is a work in progress as Angela only purchased the property a little over a year ago and has been working hard to create this woodland oasis. It's a lovely Spring time garden to check out.
