Unfortunately another tow operator has left us too soon due to an on the job incident. PRIME TOWING & RECOVERY operator Bill Walker will be greatly missed. A Convoy in his memory will be held in Grande Prairie Alberta on Saturday February 11th.

Friends, tow operators and truck drivers throughout the province are planning to show up to honor a fallen brother.

We will update with further details as they become available.

We are awaiting some final details from the province and you will start seeing blue flashing lights to complement our amber lights on our towing and support units. Please alway remember to slow down and move over.

It’s Canada Road Safety Week.

Today, the Edmonton Police Service and the AMA - Alberta Motor Association are proud to launch a new pilot project that aims to address motorists who ignore passing laws as tow truck operators perform their duties. Learn more on our website: https://bit.ly/3wByU7C

Tow truck drivers in Alberta are hopeful a new private member's bill in the legislature will help shine a different light on roadside safety.

Every Albertan deserves a safe place to work, and that includes the side of a highway. Thank you to MLA Brad Rutherford for introducing Bill 207 to add blue flashing lights to Alberta tow trucks to improve visibility and roadside safety for all road users.

Did you know?
• Blue and amber is the most visible colour combination of lights in low light and poor weather (that’s when a lot of high-risk calls take place!)
• Since December of 2019, there have been at least 13 serious roadside incidents and 36 near misses involving Alberta tow trucks and passing vehicles—collisions resulting in injury, hospitalization and even the death of one motorist. (Tow truck operators are our friends, family, and loved ones—they just want to get home safe at the end of their workday).
• In a typical year, AMA responds to more than 37,000 high-risk calls. (That’s one high-risk call every 14 minutes!)
