WHERE: Aqua Dive and Watersports (local dive shop with on-site pool in Calgary)

WHEN: MARCH 24, 2026, TIME: 6:00 - 8:00 PM

COST: $10 per person
please note we do have limited spots so you must pre-purchase tickets (click on Get Tickets)

Must bring or rent any scuba gear needed (including tanks, weights), rentals available on site from AquaDive.

Must also bring C-Card & Sign Waivers.

March 8 was International Women's Day, what a great day to give our sincerest thanks to Cathie McCuaig. Cathie was the Alberta Underwater Council Executive Director for 20+ years, keeping the ship running through board changes, technology changes and even a pandemic. Cathie organized and ran many events throughout the years across the province from the Jasper Aquathon to lake clean ups at Sylvan and Banff. All while keeping the office running and managing our grants, casinos and other things to provide the diving community with safety initiatives, winter pool splash times and so much more. Please join us in expressing our heartfelt gratitude to Cathie for two decades of service and stewardship, and in wishing her a joyful and well earned retirement.

Thanks to all our Alberta volunteer divers and AB LDS (Local Dive Shops/Instructors & Scuba Clubs) who pick up trash everyday while diving in Alberta's lakes.

Plus volunteering at all of Alberta's annual Fall Lake Cleanups!
