The Alberta Elder Abuse Awareness Council (AEAAC) is a group of Albertans dedicated to increasing awareness and supporting a community response to elder abuse.
Our organization works with a network of 16 different communities throughout the province to help build awareness, prevent, identify, and provide resources for Elder Abuse.
In honour of our 20th Anniversary, we are shining a spotlight on the incredible Case Managers making a difference in their communities!
Bal is a Case Manager for Sage Seniors Association in the Edmonton Area.
Bal supports the Edmonton’s South Asian community members in recognizing and responding to Elder Abuse and has extensive experience working with marginalized community members. In addition to his social work skills and knowledge, Bal speaks four languages, has a genuine desire to support communities in responding to elder abuse in a meaningful way and a great sense of humour.
