This confidential research study explores an important and often overlooked part of healing after unwanted sexual experiences—what communication or contact may happen afterward.

Led by a Ph.D. student at the University of Windsor, this study aims to better understand lived experiences to support future research and care 🤍

If you are a woman or gender-diverse individual (16+), living in Canada, and have had this type of experience, you may be eligible to participate in a short online survey 📝

You may also be invited to a confidential follow-up interview.

Participants will be entered into a draw to win one of ten $25 gift cards 🎁

Join us for Women’s Health Week! An Intimate Panel Discussion on Women’s Pelvic Health.

In honour of Women’s Health Week, The Alberta Chapter of the Women’s Health Coalition is hosting an intimate fireside panel discussion in Calgary on Wednesday May 6th, from 5:00pm - 7:30pm.

Join us at Coven Health Collective as our panel of women’s health experts discuss “Wome’s Pelvic Health Unfiltered: Debunking Myths & Driving Changes.” We’re sitting down for an honest, judgment-free conversation about women’s pelvic health, debunking the myths we’ve all been handed, challenging the stigmas that have kept us quiet, and finally talking openly about the things that matter most. We’re covering your pelvic floor across every stage of life, how hormones shape everything, and why pain and pleasure in intimacy deserve to be talked about openly.

The fireside will feature the following experts:
- Kelsey Drew – Registered Physiotherapist (MScPT, BScKinHons)
- Shelby Sheppard – Nurse Practioner

One lucky attendee will win a gift package courtesy of Marlow. FREE event with light refreshments and snacks! Limited spots available. Save your spot HERE.

“Finally, I had an answer...”

Thank you to our Patient Advocate for sharing their story about navigating the healthcare system. Our Patient Advocate members provide valuable insight into the barriers that many women face in the healthcare system. To share your story, visit our website thewhc.ca. or email the Patient Advisory Council at [email protected]. By sharing your experience, you not only help other women feel less alone in what they’ve gone through, but you also strengthen WHC’s advocacy efforts.

The Women’s Health Coalition Ontario was delighted to welcome dedicated healthcare professionals, advocates, and community partners to an important roundtable discussion on advancing equitable access to cervical cancer screening in Ontario on January 27.

Together, we explored innovative solutions, shared expertise, and strengthened the collaborative spirit needed to improve care, reach underserved populations, and ultimately save lives.

Gathering during Cervical Cancer Awareness Month was also a powerful reminder of the importance of screening, prevention, and education, and of what we can achieve when we work collectively toward health equity.

We extend our sincere thanks to our speakers, Ontario Chair Alita Fabiano and Dr. Matejka Rebolj, and to our event partner, Hologic, Inc., for making this event possible. Thank you as well to everyone who joined us and helped build such a meaningful conversation. Stay tuned for our official report outlining the key findings from this discussion!
