Integrity means doing the right and mindful thing, even in the details no one sees.

At the PCC, we believe that integrity shapes the way we care for our clients, steward the resources entrusted to us, and serve our community. Much of that work happens behind the scenes: organizing donated materials, preparing resources, keeping our spaces clean and welcoming, and making sure material and monetary donations are handled responsibly.

Integrity isn't just about what people see; it's about consistently doing what we've been called to do, both in the little and the big things.

Help us bless our clients this Christmas!

We’re looking for sponsors for our 2026 Bless a Family event, and we’d love your help!

Each November, we host an afternoon of food, fun, and Christmas cheer for our clients, sharing the hope of the Christmas story and sending families home with a hamper of Christmas gifts.

Each hamper includes a grocery gift card to help families enjoy a Christmas meal together, diapers, and a gift for every family member.

You can help by sponsoring a hamper or shopping directly for a family whose needs match your budget. Sponsorships typically start at $250, and partial contributions are welcome, too!

We'll start matching our clients with sponsors as early as October 21, and we'll begin collecting hampers in November. If you'd like to participate in this year's event, call us at 780-424-2624 or email [email protected].

This month, we'd like to shine the spotlight on Karen, our Abortion Recovery Director.

If you've been familiar with the PCC over the years, you'll probably recognize Karen—she's our longest-standing employee! Karen began her journey with us over 20 years ago, and her commitment embodies the vision and heart of the PCC. Karen walks alongside clients seeking emotional freedom and healing from a past abortion, and she does an amazing job of creating a safe space for women to share their stories.

Karen loves her family, she loves her garden, and she loves to laugh. We so enjoy her and admire the work she does in our community!

We talk an awful lot about compassion here at the PCC. In fact, it may be the most common word we use when describing our services!

We firmly believe that compassion creates the safety our clients need in order to feel heard as they share their stories. Responding with gentleness and care helps diffuse the fear, shame, and isolation that many carry as they walk through our doors.

Walking in compassion allows us to meet each client with dignity and curiosity, and it's one of the ways the PCC spreads hope in our Edmonton and Barrhead communities.

We'd like to introduce you to Nathan, the newest member of our PCC team! Nathan will be taking over our WAIT! Let's Talk program, and we are so happy to have him on board.

Nathan's warmth, approachability, and kindness make him well-suited to this role, and his experience with youth and young adults will shine through as he engages with junior high and high school students in classrooms across the city.
