ARE YOU PREPARED?
In an emergency, the people around you may be the first to help until emergency services arrive. That’s why community connections matter. We all have a role to play in emergency preparedness.
Community is different for everyone and could include neighbours, coworkers, faith groups, sports teams, or people connected through culture, shared interests, or common experiences.
Looking for ways to ? Start with a conversation:
Meet your neighbours:
Wave, say hello, attend neighbourhood events, or join local groups to get to know some people around you.
Map your community:
Use the Community Connection Map to identify people, places, and resources in your community. Knowing your community’s strengths, needs, and resources can help everyone be better prepared before an emergency.
