By building stronger relationships, we can better understand how we all play a part in making our neighbourhood safer. An important part of this is to build awareness and make available to all individuals activities/events that will help to build and
Everyone is important to us. Therefore, NorthEast Edmonton Safe Neighbourhoods Association is hosting a Youth Self Defense class. This is not a martial arts class, it’s a self-defense system that will be taught over 2 classes, in which you must attend both. The goal is to avoid, evade and escape from danger first. Additional tools for when you cannot escape, perhaps due to physical limitations or if trapped.
This class is split into two different age groups, and is open to all residents, regardless of gender, and physical abilities (whether permanent, rental or new to the area) in NorthEast Edmonton. This includes all areas east of 82 Street and north of Yellowhead Trail, as well as all areas east of Fort Road. It extends from the North Saskatchewan River in the south all the way north to Edmonton’s northern city limit, with the river forming the entire eastern boundary. An adult one will be held later in the year.
