On behalf of the organizing committee, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who made last night’s celebration possible.

We came together not only to honor the strength and unity of our Haitian community, but also to celebrate 15 years of history, resilience, and service. What an incredible milestone—and what an unforgettable evening!

To our committee members—Altagrace Pierre Louis (Vice-President), Laure Michaele Alexandre Florvil (Secretary), Emmanuel Joseph (Treasurer), Carline Dera Runganga (Vice-Treasurer), and our amazing MC Geroma Jean-Paul, along with her husband Nano Jean-Paul for the PowerPoint presentation—thank you for your tireless work and dedication.

A special thank you to Pastor Quesnel Joseph for opening the evening with prayer, and to Councillor Jo-Anne Wright and MLA Haji, who graciously joined us and showed their support.

To the advertising committee—Radio Dispora, Wilbert Platel, Victoria Almilcar, and Dominique Joseph—your efforts in spreading the word and creating such an amazing poster helped make this event a success. To the program organizers—Geromar Jean-Paul, Victoria Almilcar, Laure Michaele Alexandre, and our wonderful partners at Unveiled Event & Decorating and Jada Weddings (thank you to my beautiful friend Rosieta Mhango for the stunning decorations)—we are so grateful for the beauty and seamless flow you brought to the evening.

For the musical performances: DJ Danny Mix, Nafka Decimis (Flags & Anthems), Chrisly Champagne & Jahrad Prince Universality, and Djylline Dera—thank you for your powerful voices and artistry.

To the Gospel group Voices of Praise, with Sr. Donice Leriquese, Sr. Anel Bauciko, Sr. Idanise J. Laplante, Sr. Odline Jean-Paul, and Sr. Inesda Jean—your performance lifted our spirits and filled the room with inspiration. To the game players, thank you for bringing laughter, joy, and energy to the celebration.

Special recognition goes to Kiki Kitchen (Jean Fritznel Veillard, Phillipa Veillard, and Makai Louis-Jean) and St. Carmen Bar Services. Your service and dedication, supported by Nano Jean-Paul’s planning, brought excellence to every detail.

We also proudly honor our founding members—Dr. Alice Prophete, Laura Raphael, Ismaelie Thernelan, Jean Clode Macena, and Marguerite Fils-Aimé—whose vision and leadership laid the foundation for this community.

To our dear guests who travelled from Calgary and Red Deer—thank you for making the journey to celebrate with us. Your presence added so much warmth and meaning to this special milestone, and we are truly grateful you shared it with us.

To the kitchen staff and helpers—Youseline Dimanche, Jacques Edouard Dimanche, Esther Dimanche, Widjina Duma, Island Simon, Troy Simon, Kerlande Etienne, Schera Etienne, NaiKa, and Elianise Oltime—your hard work, generosity, and care made the meal service unforgettable.

Special thanks to our biggest donor Merline Dera (Melisa Beauty Studio) who donated $250 gift card! To all the others who preferred to remain anonymous!

Finally, to our volunteers, especially those who stayed late to clean, organize, and put everything away—Island Simon, Troy Simon, Naika Etienne, and Schera Etienne—we are deeply grateful. You had just moved to Edmonton last week, and yet you were already serving this community until 2 a.m., moving chairs and tables and ensuring everything was spotless. That spirit of service embodies exactly what this celebration was about.

This was not just a celebration—it was history in the making. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making our 15-year anniversary an event we will always remember.

With gratitude,
🙏🏾💙❤️💚
Yngreed Fevrier, President
