The Edmonton Ducks Unlimited Ladies Committee started in 1984, hosting their first fundraising dinner in November of that year. Their annual fundraising dinner is the sole “Ladies Event” in all of Alberta. If you have never attended a Ducks Unlimited Fundraising dinner, you are missing out! The dinner features a silent & live auction with prints, furniture, collectibles and other exceptional prizes. Throughout the evening, there are also a number of special raffles featuring unique prizes, many of which are donated by local businesses.
With a mission to conserve, restore and manage wetlands and associated habitats for North America’s waterfowl, Ducks Unlimited Canada has been working hard for 80 years to save Canada’s wetlands. Wetlands play a crucial role in the overall health of the community. They filter our water, provide critical habitat for wildlife, reduce flooding and provide recreational spaces for people to enjoy nature at its finest. Ducks Unlimited has conserved more than 2 million acres of significant wetlands right here in Alberta, completing 406 wetland projects and protecting 163.28 acres of habitat within a 100 km radius of Edmonton!
None of this has been possible without our partnerships in our local communities and with the businesses and individuals who support our conservation efforts! If you wish to join our committee, make a donation, buy tickets to a fundraising dinner or just have a question answered, please send us a message…we would love to hear from you!
Help us protect these natural areas for our water, wildlife, and people.
