Volunteering at markets is more than just helping with sales — it’s a chance to represent AiLA, connect with people, and practice your advocacy skills in the community.
We’re looking for 3 volunteers to help with our CAREmels sales team at the Strawberry Lane Market this December.
Siblings and parents of our autistic members are welcome to join us, too!

October is Disability Employment Awareness Month.
Employment is about more than earning a living. It can provide independence, confidence, purpose, social connection, and the opportunity to contribute to our communities.
For many autistic adults and people with disabilities, barriers in the workplace can make finding and keeping meaningful employment more difficult.
Creating inclusive workplaces means looking beyond traditional ideas of what an employee should look like, communicate like, or work like.
Small changes can make a big difference — from flexible schedules and sensory-friendly spaces to clear communication and accessible hiring practices.
This month, let’s recognize the skills and contributions of people with disabilities and continue working toward workplaces where everyone has an opportunity to succeed.

Thank you to everyone who joined AiLA for an afternoon at the Edmonton Corn Maze! We had a great time exploring the maze, enjoying the beautiful weather, and spending time together.

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Today, we take time to listen, learn, remember, and reflect on the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools, as well as the experiences of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.
As we work toward a more inclusive community, accessibility and inclusion must go hand in hand with reconciliation.
AiLA encourages our community to take time today to learn from Indigenous voices, reflect on the history of this land, and consider how we can contribute to a more respectful and inclusive future.
