Students Invested in Health Association - SIHA

SIHA is an active body of interdisciplinary volunteer members committed to transforming primary health philosophy into action.

All of our projects are based on the ideals of universal health care with principles of sustainable, community-based programming. SIHA is a University of Alberta student's group and a registered charity. There are two sectors of SIHA: Local Projects and International Projects, which together act to make SIHA diverse and multi-faceted. International Projects recruit volunteers who then plan a volun

teer trip abroad. Local projects address the needs of our city, focusing on education with partnerships and funding from local organizations.

Hello everyone, we have some exciting news! Our international co-VP’s, Ellen and Anastasia are hosting a talk about Menstrual Health and Hygiene in Tanzania. See our bio for the link to register.

SIHA’s Outreach team did an emergency winter response and assembled around 50 winter kits which included winter items, hygiene items, and food items. SIHA donated these kits to United Way Capital Region and Edmonton Food Bank on February 22nd. Thank you to our outreach team for running a successful campaign!!
