🎨 Children’s Art Competition 🎨

Calling all young artists from Edmonton and surrounding areas! This competition is open to children who do not currently attend our school.

✨ Submit 1 original painting or drawing
✨ Any subject or theme is welcome
✨ Open to children from Edmonton & surrounding areas
✨ Over $500 in prizes to be won!

Age Categories:
🎈 5–8 years
🎨 9–13 years
🌟 14–17 years

How to participate:
• Follow our page 
• Send your child’s artwork via DM starting from today
• Include the child’s name, age, and your Instagram

📅 All submitted artworks will be published on May 15.

Winners will be announced on May 30

🏆 Winners in each age category will be chosen by public engagement — the artworks with the highest number of likes, shares, and comments will win!

This workshop offers a vibrant and creative environment where students can explore bold artistic expressions using oil or acrylic paints. The sessions are designed to be warm and supportive, allowing for a collaborative experience where projects are chosen together at the start of the session.
Participants can look forward to:
Dynamic Subject Matter: While the class collaboratively selects projects, there is a strong focus on capturing seasonal beauty, such as the lush and multi-layered details of peonies.
Advanced Techniques: Students will master impasto application to create rich, ruffled textures and learn color gradation to bring volume and life to their canvases.
Mixed Media Elements: The workshop encourages experimentation with high-impact details, including the use of gold leaf and vibrant, multi-colored palettes to make every detail pop.
Personalized Growth: Whether working from a favourite reference photo or a fresh bouquet, the class provides a space for every artist to find their unique voice and style
