Calling all interested speakers for the 2027 Alberta Camping Conference! This year, we’re digging deep into our theme: "Beyond the Campfire: Doing What Matters."
We want to move past the basics and explore the real, high-impact ideas shaping the future of camps.
Got an idea? You don't have to give a traditional presentation!
We are looking for a diverse mix of session types. You can:
- Lead a traditional presentation or workshop
- Host an interactive panel with your peers
- Facilitate a round-table discussion on a topic you’re passionate about

If you're doing work that drives real change, sparks meaningful conversation, or tackles the big challenges facing camp communities, we want to hear from you.

High ropes or challenge courses are just about the safest adventure based activity you can do!

The stats from the American Camp Association speak for themselves:
Serious Injuries: 4.33 per 1M participant hours
Fatalities: 1 per 19.48M participant hours - **typically linked to underlying cardiac conditions, not equipment failure**

You aren't actually fighting dangerous heights, you're just fighting your own brain!

Looking for more ways to connect?

This summer, along with our accreditation visits, we were able to visit 3 of our member camps simply to connect, support, and see the magic of their camp. A huge shoutout to:

Covenant Bay Bible Camp (Current Member)
Foothills Camp (Welcoming back our "new" member!)
Camp He Ho Ha (Excited to welcome as a New Member!)

Why Relationships Matter
At the heart of the Alberta Camping Association is community. Running a camp takes immense heart, and we know how valuable it is to have a strong support system behind you. Whether it's tackling challenges together, sharing a laugh, or just lending a listening ear, our connections are what make this community so resilient and special.

Let's Meet Up!
We’d love to set up an in-person or virtual meetup with your camp leaders, regardless of the season or time of year. Drop us a message or reach out today to schedule a visit: our door is always open!
