Join our team as an Housing Assistant Manager!

🗣️ We're looking for a dedicated individual who is comfortable working in collaboration with the housing manager and with housing staff, tracking site preparation & launch, overseeing daily administrative operations, creating policies and design review, supporting logistics & finances, compiling data & drafting monthly, quarterly and annual reports, loves being a part of community and more!

🎓Diploma or Degree will be considered an asset
🧾Minimum of 4 years of management/assistant or operational experience
💻 Proficient with technology (google workspace, canva, etc.)
✏️ A solid understanding of Edmonton's social services landscape & the realities of gender-based violence
☝️An understanding of the unique barriers faced by Indigenous 2sLGBTQQIA+ individuals, and are committed to helping us maintain a culturally safe, affirming, and respectful environment.

🚨 SAVE THE DATES 🚨

We are taking the steps toward building a much-needed resource in Edmonton and the surrounding area: an Emergency & Transitional Housing Project specifically for Indigenous 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals fleeing violence. True safety and healing are built by community, for community. That’s why this July, we are hosting three engagement sessions to listen, collaborate, and build the foundation for this safe space together. These will be the first of a quarterly engagement session series!

🌾 JULY 13 | Service Providers & Indigenous/non-Indigenous Organizations (In-Person)
This session is for community partners, housing sectors, service providers, 2SLGBTQQIA+ grassroots collectives, front-line workers, crisis support organizations and more. Because this project will operate on a closed referral process, we invite you to join us and build our referral network collectively.

🕯️ JULY 15 | Lived Experience & Local Community (In-Person)
Are you an Indigenous 2SLGBTQQIA+ person who has navigated housing insecurity, service and programs access, gender-affirming care, or unsafe environments? We want to listen to you.

This will be a culturally safe, inclusive, and confidential space with an Elder to support the dialogue.

Food and beverages, bus tickets, child-minding, door prizes, and cultural/Elder support will be provided. Come as you are.

💻 JULY 17 | Virtual Community Engagement
Can’t make it in person, or prefer to join us privately from home? This online session is open to regional partners across Treaty 6, 7 + 8, allies, and community members who want to share their thoughts and hopes for the project from their own space.
