U of A Pride Week is happening from March 9th to 14th, and the RMSA invites you to join the celebrations! It’s a wonderful time to come together to support and celebrate the 2SLGBTQ+ community across our campuses.

Here is what is happening specifically within our faculty:

1. Pride Parade & Resource Fair (Monday, March 9)
Join members of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine as we dance, cheer, and celebrate our way around North Campus, then visit the Fairly Q***r: Q***r Resource Fair at the Myer Horowitz Theatre lobby.

Free T-Shirt: If you are able, please stop by the Corbett Hall main foyer before 10:40 AM for a free Pride t-shirt! Supplies are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Schedule:
10:40 AM: Gather in Corbett Hall main foyer
11:00 AM: Walk to SUB as a group*
11:20 AM: Parade Check-in
11:30 AM: Opening Ceremony (welcome, remarks, and drag!)
12:30 PM: FRM group photo
12:40 PM: Parade around Campus core
1:00 PM onward: Visit the resource fair & say farewells
*If you are unable to commit to the full itinerary, please consider joining us at the Opening Ceremony location (the Myer Horowitz Theatre in SUB) no later than 12:15 PM.

2. We are excited to launch our first QT-PSC Meeting on Tuesday, March 10, initiated by our wonderful students at FRM.

The Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine is pleased to host a special screening of Grant Bruno’s most recent film, Sewâtsiwin: They Are Sacred. Newly released to the public in 2026, this powerful documentary offers an intimate and timely exploration of Indigenous knowledge, autism, and community.

We are especially honoured to welcome Dr. Grant Bruno, who will join us for the screening, offer opening remarks, and participate in an open discussion following the film.
