Rose and Thistle Pipe Band The Rose and Thistle Pipe Band is a teaching band located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Members are aged 9 and up, of varying musical abilities.

Basic instruction is provided in piping and drumming. The Rose and Thistle Pipe Band (formerly the Edmonton Girls' Pipe Band)is a teaching band located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The band participates in parades, concerts, and competitions in Alberta, often in support of community and charity events. Our band members are people of various ages - since 2012 the band has accepted males as members

. No experience is necessary, and basic instruction is provided in all areas of piping, drumming, and bandsmanship. However, private lessons are strongly encouraged. Please CONTACT us for a list of instructors available for private hire. Uniforms are supplied at no cost to playing members of the band. The Rose and Thistle Band has been growing quickly in the last few years and we are always seeking out volunteer instructors (particularily pipers).
