CALL FOR STERLING JURORS!
The Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Awards are seeking new jury members for the upcoming theatre season. If you love theatre, have experience in the performing arts, and want to help celebrate the excellence of Edmonton’s vibrant stage community, we want to hear from you!
We are currently recruiting for two juries:
MAINSTAGE JURY
Season runs June 1, 2026 – May 31, 2027
Jurors must commit to seeing at least 80% of professional mainstage productions registered with the Sterlings, this could mean 5 - 8 shows per month (including Theatre for Young Audiences).
Jury size: approximately 9 - 15 members
You’ll receive 1 - 2 complimentary tickets per production (roughly 40–50 shows per year)
FRINGE JURY
Festival dates: August 13–23, 2026
Jurors commit to seeing eligible Fringe productions throughout the festival, typically 5 or more shows per day over 10 days.
Jury size: approximately 5 - 7 members
One Complimentary ticket will be provided per eligible show
Who should apply?
We’re looking for individuals with a wide range of theatrical experience: artists, designers, technicians, educators, administrators, and more - who can thoughtfully evaluate productions and help highlight the excellence in our community.
Priority will be given to applicants who:
- Are not currently salaried by a professional theatre company
- Identify as members of historically underrepresented communities
- Have been active in Edmonton’s theatre scene within the last year
