Cameron came into the world six weeks early and had to be resuscitated the moment he was born.
In the weeks that followed, his mom couldn't even touch him. The slightest contact could stop his breathing. Later came a tethered spinal cord, spina bifida and a form of muscular dystrophy. A long list of diagnoses. An even longer list of surgeries.
But now, Cameron is going into grade 12. He plays sledge hockey and wheelchair tennis, quotes Star Wars from memory and tells the worst dad jokes on purpose.
