Cameron came into the world six weeks early and had to be resuscitated the moment he was born.

In the weeks that followed, his mom couldn't even touch him. The slightest contact could stop his breathing. Later came a tethered spinal cord, spina bifida and a form of muscular dystrophy. A long list of diagnoses. An even longer list of surgeries.

But now, Cameron is going into grade 12. He plays sledge hockey and wheelchair tennis, quotes Star Wars from memory and tells the worst dad jokes on purpose.

CALLING ALL TEACHERS: New school year, new goals, new ways to support your community! 🍎✏️📖

Make a difference with your school! When your school hosts a fundraiser in support of the Stollery, your students will become Stollery Superstars and earn incentive prizes while making a difference in their community.

Plan a bike-a-thon, auction, dance party, art sale, talent show, bake sale, fun run/walk and more. The sky’s the limit on what kind of fundraiser you host — and this is a great way for kids to show their creativity and collaboration while supporting kids just like them at the Stollery.

Plus, our Foundation team is here to help! Read more about what we provide to make school fundraising easy and meaningful for your class: https://bit.ly/3UwND3q

You really brought the lemon love to Lemonade Stand Day! 💜🍋

Today, kids in communities across Alberta poured their hearts into supporting the Stollery during Simply Supper Ltd.'s Lemonade Stand Day.

A HUGE THANK YOU to all the Junior Lemon Squeezers who worked so hard to give back to kids who need Stollery care. We’re so grateful to every lemonade stirrer, sipper and supporter who helped make today so special!

Today’s fundraising efforts will help fund the purchase of NICView cameras for neonatal intensive care units across Northern Alberta, and it's not too late to support a stand!

You can still donate at LemonadeYeg.ca.

Introducing Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation volunteer, Holly! 👋

Holly has been volunteering with the Foundation for just under 10 years! When she's not volunteering or working as a nurse, she enjoys reading and spending time outdoors.

Let’s get to know Holly!

What is your favorite event to volunteer for? 📅

Snowflake Gala! It’s so magical to see the different themes and to celebrate all that was accomplished in the past year.

What has been your most impactful volunteer experience? 💜

It’s so hard to just pick one experience! I was a patient at the Stollery as a baby so I find it extremely fulfilling to be able to give back through volunteering.

Thanks for all that you do to support Stollery kids, Holly!

This is what happens when a community comes together for kids. 💜

We're incredibly grateful to announce that CPKC has donated $4.4 million
to strengthen pediatric cardiac care at the Stollery following this year's CPKC Women's Open.

This extraordinary support will help ensure our world-class cardiac teams have access to leading-edge equipment, groundbreaking research, specialized training and family support programs so they can continue providing some of the most specialized pediatric cardiac care in Canada.

Thank you to CPKC for choosing to invest in kids' health and to the players, volunteers and fans who helped make this incredible weekend possible.

❤️ 75% of patients cared for in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit come from outside the Edmonton zone.
❤️ Families travel from across Alberta and beyond for world-class cardiac care at the Stollery.

If you’re onsite, stop by the Stollery tent near the Family Zone! Snap a photo at our No Bounds photo station, share it on social tagging Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation and you'll be entered for a chance to win a prize basket filled with CPKC and Stollery goodies.
