👭 This Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating the incredible women who have transformed the landscape of diabetes research, care, and advocacy. 🔬

We recognize pioneers like 👩‍⚕️Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin, a founder of X-ray crystallography and Nobel Prize winner (1964) for solving the atomic structure for penicillin. Her work with insulin was instrumental in the treatment of diabetes.

We also recognize modern leaders like 👩‍⚕️Dana Lewis, the creator of OpenAPS, one of the first open-source homemade “artificial pancreas” systems that automatically adjust an insulin pump’s basal insulin delivery.

🎳 Bingo Bowling: the only time getting a STRIKE may actually be bad news 😭

Last month our club hit the lanes for Bingo Bowling and had an absolute blast! From aiming for those head pins to deciding whether to play it safe for 3 points or risk it all for 10… (iykyk) the competition was fierce and the laughs were nonstop.

This is just one of the many social and volunteer events we host throughout the year! 💜

Our club still competes internally in a membership competition - let’s see where we’re at!

The Dizzy Lions 💫🦁 are holding strong in the leads with 51 points thanks to recruitment of new members Kery, Leslie & Bernie by Cheryl, Carrie & Kim!

The Big Butlers 🍑🤵🏻are consistently growing but still behind at 36 points thanks to Kelsey, Cassidy, Kathy, Amira, and Angela for speaking with and inviting new friends to events!
