Elmwood Community League acts on behalf of our members and offers programs and services to reflect the community's needs, interests, and diversity. ECL brings neighbours together to provide recreational and social programs, develop and maintain amenities such as Elmwood Community Hall, skating rinks, playground, spray park, and the skate shack. The Elmwood community is on Treaty 6 territory. Treat

y 6 is the territory of the nehiyaw, Stoney Nakota, Nakota Sioux, Annishnabe, Iroquois and Dene as well as occupies Metis land. We humbly admit that we are learning what it means to be on Treaty territory and unceded land. We know there is still important work that needs to be done to honor the treaties. Indigenous histories, languages, and cultures influence our community, and we are grateful to be in relationship with the people & land of this territory.

We need your help! Our casino is coming up on September 2 & 3 at the Starlight Casino (WEM) and we need volunteers to fill about 19 more shifts. Most positions must be filled by Elmwood residents as per new AGLC rules, but if you want to help and don't live in Elmwood you can be a chip runner or a count room clerk. This is a good opportunity to get to know other members of the community. Volunteers receive a free meal at the casino restaurant, in addition to snacks and beverages. No prior experience is required, training will happen when you arrive.
