Please join us on October 20 for dinner at this month's Community Kitchen. Doors open at 5:00 PM to find your seat and mingle with neighbours. Dinner starts at 5:30 PM.

If you have enjoyed getting together with neighbours and sharing a meal at our CK in the past, you will be pleased to know that we are taking steps to enhance the community building aspect of Community Kitchen. Please help us build this event series into one that offers belonging and welcome to all.

Brought to you with the support of Edmonton Food Bank, Soloss, End Poverty Edmonton, and our own generous volunteers. To volunteer, email [email protected].

Come check it out!

One ticket brings two people to our sauerkraut workshop. All we ask is that the second person has never been to an OFRE class before.

Salt and cabbage.

That is the whole ingredient list, and it is the easiest preservation skill there is to start with. No canner, no pressure gauge, nothing you do not already own.

Cindy Suelzle takes a room of beginners from the first cut to a finished jar. Why fermenting is not pickling. How much salt, and why the salt is what does the work. How to keep everything under the brine, which is where nearly every failed batch goes wrong.

Why are we offering a BOGO for this workshop?

We just want to meet people who have never come to one of our events, and most of us only learned this stuff because somebody brought us along the first time.

👉 Thursday October 15, 7 to 8.30pm.

Registration is in the first comment.

Hi neighbours, 🤔 💭 🏡

The City of Edmonton is looking for feedback from Community League members about the future of Community Leagues across Edmonton — and your input matters! This short survey asks about how you use and connect with your Community League, the programs and facilities that are important to you, and what you’d like to see in the future.

The survey takes about 8–10 minutes to complete and closes September 30 at 11:59 p.m. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts!
