Chanel is the perfect blend of sweetness, sass, and snuggles. Since coming into foster care, she has proven herself to be an affectionate girl who simply wants to be wherever her people are. Whether you're moving from room to room or getting ready for work, Chanel will be right there, often laying across your feet for a few extra kisses before you leave.

A true lady, Chanel loves cozy spots on the couch and would happily sleep at the foot of your bed. She's playful, loves her toys, and enjoys zooming around the house when the mood strikes. She also has a habit of "borrowing" socks and shoes and relocating them to her bed—but don't worry, she doesn't chew them, she simply likes collecting them.

Chanel has a wonderfully expressive personality. From her dramatic side-eye when there's not enough room on the couch to letting you know when she's overdue for attention, she's guaranteed to keep you smiling. She's also known to serenade passing fire trucks with her own enthusiastic howls.

She enjoys walks, loves meeting new people, and is highly treat-motivated, making her eager to continue learning. While she may occasionally get excited by bunnies, magpies, or other dogs on walks, she redirects well and continues to make great progress.

🍂 September is here, and we have lots happening! 🐾

We’ve got a busy month ahead with markets, events, and plenty of opportunities to come out, say hi, and support the animals in our care. 💛

And we’re kicking things off this weekend!

😭 ANOTHER KITTEN IN CRITICAL CONDITION 💔

We really can’t seem to catch our breath.

This little one is now on the way to the emergency vet after suddenly becoming critically ill.

And this is the 3rd kitten in our care to require emergency veterinary treatment in just one week. 💔 They aren’t even from the same intake group.

Just over two weeks ago, we rescued 30+ cats from one property. Two of the kittens from that group have already required emergency medical care. Thankfully, both are improving, but their treatment has left us with thousands of dollars in veterinary bills.

And now, a kitten from an entirely different intake is facing a critical medical emergency.

We will always be there for the animals who need us. But we can't do that without the support of our community. We can't keep bringing animals into our care if we can't afford their vet care.

Right now, we desperately need help covering emergency veterinary costs. If you can donate, even $5 or $10 helps us when an animal needs urgent care.

✨Meet Ghost (Riders in the Sky) – Your playful little shadow! 👻

Ghost has one simple philosophy: if it wiggles, it’s a toy! Tails, paws, legs… even his own tail isn’t safe from his playful imagination. He can happily entertain himself chasing it in circles before zooming off to see what his siblings are up to.

Curious by nature, Ghost believes every blanket hides a mystery worth investigating. In fact, if there’s something to look under, he’ll be the first one there. Whether he’s peeking beneath a blanket, inspecting a toy, or supervising his siblings’ latest adventure, this sweet boy always wants to be part of the action.

Ghost loves wrestling with his siblings, batting around stuffed animals, weaving through your legs, and making sure he never misses mealtime. When playtime winds down, his softer side shines through. He’s a big fan of belly rubs and will happily curl up beside you (or right on your lap) for a cozy, well-earned nap.

With his goofy personality, endless curiosity, and affectionate heart, Ghost is the perfect mix of playful explorer and cuddle companion.

Likes: Belly rubs, stuffed animals, chasing his tail, playing with his siblings, exploring under blankets, weaving around your legs, mealtime, cuddling for naps.
Dislikes: None discovered yet.

Good with dogs? Ghost hasn’t met dogs yet, but with slow, proper introductions he would do great!
Good with kids? Yes, with respectful children.
Good with cats? Yes! He loves his siblings and must be adopted into a home with a friendly, playful cat or be adopted with another kitten.

Meet Dwight! 💙🐾

This sweet 8–9 month old pup is starting to feel more comfortable and relaxed indoors every day, and he’s looking for a foster home where he can continue his journey towards adoption 🏡

Dwight loves kids, does well with other dogs and cats, and prefers to be close to his people. He’s discovering that being indoors can be a pretty wonderful place to be, and we’re seeing more of his sweet personality come through every day. 🥰

Now he just needs a foster home willing to give him the patience, love and reassurance he needs to keep building his confidence.

🚨 HABANERO NEEDS YOUR HELP 🚨

Our sweet little Habanero had a very scary night.

He was shaking, wobbly, and clearly not feeling right, so he needed to be rushed to Guardian Veterinary Centre, where he stayed overnight to receive the treatment and monitoring he needed. 🐾

And sadly, Habanero is the 2nd kitten in just ONE WEEK who has needed emergency care.

On top of that, we have at least 10 other kittens who needed veterinary appointments last week for upper respiratory infections, eye issues, and other health concerns. These babies have had an incredibly difficult start to life, and unfortunately, their vet bills are adding up quickly.

We are a 100% volunteer-run rescue, and every dollar donated goes toward helping us provide the care these animals desperately need.

This week, please choose to donate and help us save them. Even $5, $10 or $20 makes a difference. Every single dollar helps us continue saying YES when these kittens need us most.

Sometimes rescue is heavy, but there’s so much good happening, too.

From new foster homes and second chances to medical victories and exciting new beginnings, these are a few recent moments that have made us smile.

🐾 There are still more waiting for us

Two weeks ago, we took in over 30 cats from a property where they had been living outside, simply trying to survive. It was a huge intake for our rescue, but unfortunately, our work there isn’t finished.

There are still more cats on the property who need a safe place to go.

If we leave them behind, the cycle will simply continue. They’ll keep reproducing, more kittens will be born, and some of those kittens may not survive—especially as the colder months approach. The ones who do survive will grow up and have litters of their own, and before long, we’ll be right back where we started.

The best way to break that cycle is to bring them into care.

And these cats don’t need much. They need a warm, safe home away from predators and the elements. They need regular meals, a little patience, and someone willing to show them that life can be different.
Some may already know how wonderful people can be. Others may be learning that for the very first time. ❤️

We still need more foster homes to help us bring the remaining cats to safety. You could be the safe place that changes everything for one of them.
