Last month, AHC was pleased to take part in Newcomer Family Evening at the Lumen Christi Catholic Education Centre!

Hosted by Edmonton Catholic Schools and the One World…One Centre Newcomer Centre, the event was a great opportunity to connect with newcomer families and share information about AHC’s programs and services.

How can communities sustain their impact and grow inclusive change?

That was the focus of AHC’s 5th Annual Building Inclusive Communities (BIC) Forum, themed “Sustaining Impact and Scaling Inclusive Change.” More than 100 community members, leaders, and partners came together to explore research findings, hear from keynote speaker Tina Thomas of the Edmonton Community Foundation and guest speaker Rishia Burke of the Asset-Based Community Development Institute, and exchange ideas through six breakout discussions on community leadership, partnerships, measuring impact, and long-term sustainability.

Alberta’s referendum takes place on October 19, 2026. Eligible voters will vote on 10 questions related to immigration, constitutional matters, and Alberta’s place in Canada.

To vote in the referendum, you must be a Canadian citizen, be 18 years of age or older, and live in Alberta.

On Election Day, you must vote at your designated polling station.
