Culture influences every dimension of the evaluation process and its stakeholders. This is why evaluations need to be culturally responsive to be meaningful and valid. Taking an equity, diversity, inclusion, and indigeneity lens is key to ensure recognition, accurate interpretation, and use of evaluations.

Join the Evaluation Capacity Network and its expert panelists on Monday, May 16 from 12 - 1pm MDT as they share their knowledge and experience with culturally responsive evaluation and how to take an EDII lens in evaluation practice. Everyone is welcome!

In 2017, as part of CUP strategic plan, we began an evaluation journey to help us understand the factors that influence our ability to accomplish our mission of nurturing environments where evidence contributes to effective practices, programs, and policies. The report and video highlight some of the key learnings from this journey and how the learning is shaping and informing our work as we move forwards.

We hope these lessons and these processes inform your own internal evaluations!
