We're excited to announce that Chace Cole and Enrique Jacinto have successfully earned their Alberta B-Pressure Certification!

Another successful B-Pressure testing day at the Edmonton Welding Center saw these two members reach an important milestone.
Their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to mastering their trade have paid off, and this achievement reflects the professionalism and skill that continue to strengthen our union.

We’re pleased to share that Kruse Scott successfully earned his Alberta B-Pressure Certification last Friday.

Kruse is one of our members who consistently takes advantage of our welding facility to sharpen his skills when he’s not working.
His dedication and commitment to his trade made this achievement well deserved and reflects the professionalism that strengthens our union.

It’s always a pleasure to welcome brothers and sisters from other locals, and this week we had the opportunity to host Local 128 member Nicholas Bigras in our welding shop.

Nicholas arrived with an ambitious goal: earning the Alberta B Pressure Certification, one of the highest and most respected pressure welding certifications in Canada.
After several days of dedicated practice, hard work, and guidance from our team, he successfully achieved that goal.

This accomplishment is a significant milestone in Nicholas’s career and further strengthens his value as a skilled tradesperson.
His new certification will open doors to more opportunities, particularly when he has the chance to travel card and work here in Alberta.

Congratulations, Nicholas, on this outstanding achievement—we wish you continued success in your career.

Continued success from our UTIP pressure welding course!

We’re pleased to share that Yongmin Kim achieved his B-Pressure certification today.

Yongmin had previously earned his C-Pressure certifications during UTIP course in Edmonton this past February as an apprentice.
Shortly after receiving his journeyperson trade ticket, he booked his ABSA test to accomplish this impressive milestone, successfully earning his B-Pressure certification on his first attempt.

Congratulations, Yongmin on this outstanding achievement!

Once again, the one and only Aaron Latta created another welding challenge here in the shop.
This time he had the brilliant idea to make a waterwall jig attached underneath his instructors table to simulate limited head room when welding these types of joints.
