When home feels safe, everything else becomes possible.

For Sharlene and her family, those words represent something that took time, resilience, and community to find.

An accident, a cancer diagnosis, and a frightening safety incident — Sharlene's family navigated an incredibly difficult chapter, one challenge after another. Through it all, Civida showed up, keeping her family together and safe. And slowly, life began to look different.

Today, Sharlene is stable, hopeful, and looking forward to the hobbies and passions she finally has time to pursue. 🏡

Meet the Civida Housing Foundation. 🏠

If you don't know us already, we are the charitable arm of Civida, supporting people who live in affordable housing across Edmonton.

While Civida provides housing, the Foundation helps fund the supports that make a house feel like home.

We also work with partners who bring services directly into Civida communities, making it easier for people to access the support they need.

With the right support, people can build stability, connect with others, and move forward.
