Like many farms across Alberta, our own Growing Together has faced immense climate-related pressures. Flooded fields, washed-out seeds, and hail damage to leaves have made this a more challenging year than ever before. Luckily, we still have a great community to help us pull through!

This week, Norquest and the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) students came by to pick, wash, and package fresh greens for local donation. Together, we bagged healthy meals for those with limited access to seasonal produce.

Our gardens are open for visits every Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30. See community agriculture in action, take part in activities, and get in the know with what's growing in your neighbourhood.

Meet Kismet! This Sunday (July 12th) from 12 to 2, we'll have a milking goat on-site to show visitors what amazing homesteaders these little girls make. Jacob will be giving away goat cheese samples using our community garden herbs.

Kismet is provided by the lovely folks at Good Note Community Farm, located just 20 minutes outside of Edmonton.

We are hosting a food drive for the Edmonton Food Bank from July 2-4th! Bring your non-perishable items to the events at the league hall.
