Dutch Elm Disease has been found in the city, making it more important than ever to help protect Edmonton's elm trees.

You can help by:
๐ŸŒณ Never pruning elm trees between April 1 and September 30 as fresh cuts attract the beetles.
๐Ÿชต Never putting elm wood in your black or green bin: take it to an Edmonton Waste Management Centre (at no charge).
๐Ÿ”ฅ Burning firewood where you buy it and avoiding transporting it.

Watch for elm trees with yellowing or wilting branches ("flagging") and report any suspicious trees to the via 311. Together, we can help protect our urban canopy.

๐ŸŒผ Help us celebrate the people who make Bonnie Doon bloom!

This year, Our Neighbourhood in Bloom is about recognizing the gardens, green spaces, and neighbours who make our community beautiful.

Whether it's a colourful front yard, a flourishing boulevard, or someone who lovingly cares for a small but mighty garden, we'd love to celebrate their creativity and community spirit.

To learn about Our Neighbourhood in Bloom and how to pitch in, read our blog post.

Until last year the Front Yards in Bloom program (you know: the little yellow signs) was run by the City of Edmonton. Last year the City pulled out due to budget constraints. At that point your...

The City is expanding Edmontonโ€™s active transportation network and several changes are coming to streets in and around our area this summer. Work will include new local street bikeways, shared pathways, and a protected two-way bike lane on 89 Street.

Construction starts this summer and bulletins will be sent out to residents and businesses before work begins.

This document (from the city) shows changes in more detail.https://mcusercontent.com/15e67bf394a76b6c099147f86/files/c5972bb8-dea7-18c7-f1e0-699cda7bbc73/Route_9_All_Maps_250601.pdf
